Boston Massacre

This picture used for propaganda, depicts the Boston massacre as a one sided war but as we know from class the colonists started it by throwing rocks and ice in snow balls. For other colonies this engraving and the other two names for the Boston massacre would give the idea that the redcoats went rouge and fired into a crowd. Finding out that all but two were found not guilty was probably very aggravating for the colonists.

Sons of Liberty

How are the Sons of Liberty portrayed?

Mysterious, in a life or death situation, The light in the back drop portrays them as hero's

How are the British Portrayed?

They look as though they are the "bad guys" with the guns pointed at the mysterious men standing above them.

Is the artist in for or against the Sons of Liberty?

I believe that the artist is "in the dark" about it, But he seems to be more for the Sons of Liberty.

What do you like about the picture?

I like the way they made the sons of Liberty's faces secret to portray the way they were a semi-secret society.

What do you not like about the picture?

Im not sure

Do you think you would have joined the Sons of Liberty or not? Why?

I would be for the Sons Of Liberty But I wouldn't join them because I am a girl. But I would join the daughters of Liberty .
